Advocacy
Pressing for equal rights and policy change at national and local level, so that people with short stature are written into Rwanda's development plans.
Rwanda has committed to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which was the first international human rights treaty to set out accessibility as a right. Turning that commitment into changed counters, ramps and attitudes is the daily work of advocacy.
RULP represents its members to government at national and district level, and works with other disability organisations to make sure short stature is not left out of the conversation.
